Yummy Halloween Snacks Roundup
Halloween is different this year. We all know it, so we don’t need to dwell on it. What we do need to think about is how to change this event to make it fun for our creatures stuck at home.
My girls love to cook, so we decided to create some spooky-inspired foods this year. For school, we made a video of one of our tasty morsels, with a how-to for kids (and their parents) to make.

We’re also making some yummy treats we found from others you might want to check out:
- Frankenguac – Vegetarian and delish. I mean, it’s guacamole and so stinking cute. Everyone will gobble this.
- Mummy Dogs – Every good mummy knows hot dogs can make a great snack or meal. And this spin on the classic gives a fun take. Add ketchup for a bloody good time.
- Feetloaf – My kids love meatloaf. I can’t wait to make this for them… maybe with something stinky to add to the effect.
Ghoulish Deviled Eggs
A Spooky Twist on the Classic Egg Snack
Ingredients
- 6 hardboiled eggs
- 4 Tbsp Mayo
- 2 tsp dijon mustard (I like the ones with mustard seeds, aka country style)
- 1 tsp olive juice from olive jar
- 12 olives stuffed with pimentos
Instructions
- Cut eggs in half and scoop out yolks into the bowl.
- Add mayo, mustard and olive juice to bowl and mix well.
- Refill egg whites with yolk mixture.
- Add one olive in the yolk part of egg so it looks like eyes.
Notes
Please feel free to make the deviled eggs as you like, as this recipe is just basic. For example, add siracha for reddish eyes. Or crack the eggs a bit and let them soak in green or red food coloring for a freaky bloodshot look when peeled.
